Tara is a current Bioinformatics Masters student at Johns Hopkins University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Wesleyan University, where she double majored in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry and Government, with a minor in Chemistry. She has researched Kabuki Syndrome in the Bjornsson lab at Johns Hopkins and policies for rare diseases and vaccination at Moderna. Her research interests include epigenetic histone modifications, epitranscriptomics, and transcription factor interactions. She is also passionate about rare disease advocacy and awareness.
